Guest Reviews
We're hoping that at some point we can attract some big names in the Action world to join us for a curry and be a Guest Reviewer on www.actioncurry.com.
We'd love to let you in on who might be chosen for this coveted position, but we wouldn't want to let anything slip too early, which might create jealousy amongst the candidates,
or force one of them to leave the country before we can get to them.

January's guest reviewers: Nick and Emma
Our very first guest reviewer is not a celebrity, or a noted name in the Indian restaurant community
(although there are plenty waiting in line for a chance at this position), but rather a friend of ours
who, in our opinion, would most benefit from the educational opportunities Action Curry has to offer.
Nick once recommended a restaurant to us which was met with a general lack of enthusiasm from the Action Curry crew.
So we invited Nick and the gorgeous Emma along to sample some of Brisbane's finest, as we see it: a meal at A Night In India in Toowong.

This is what Nick had to say about their first Action Curry experience:
Em and I were privileged to be able to attend A Night In India (ANII) with the action curry crew.
After a few ales to start the night at the prestigious RE, and a quick stop in at the bottl’o nearby, we entered the domain of ANII.
First impressions were good, with a big whiff of spice and a good crowd attending the restaurant for a Thursday night, I thought.
The night started with discussions on how they got their pappadums to be so flat,
but before establishing this highly important fact our attention was distracted by the first of the naans arriving.
Can I just say that up until this point I thought naan was a bit of a waste of space.
Always pretty enjoyable, but never justifying the space in my stomach that would otherwise be filled with more tasty curry.
But given the new venue I gave them a go and I was definitely happy with the result.
The ‘special’ naan is definitely worth a spin around the block.
They were not over-cooked and had a good mix of ingredients within, getting the whole team in every bite.
Really tasty and would definitely be missed if you tried to pass them by.
Before long the main event came to town with the rice, vindaloos and random selection of curries arriving.
All of the mains were tasty including a Vindaloo which, although it wasn’t damagingly hot, was very tasty
and a coconut dish which had some turbo flavours going on. The best on table would have to be the Punjabi chicken though.
I can't put my finger on what made it so über, but then it was not on the plate long enough to think about really.
All in all a great night out with great company, good service with a good sense of humour and fantastic curry.
The only incident being a slight spill of the coconut dish onto Em’s skirt by one of the waiters.
[Em assured us that her Mum would be able to sort it out, being somewhat of a stain-removal guru.]
Result: Em’s mum managed to achieve two things with that skirt.
The first was successfully removing the curry stain, and the second was turning the white skirt bright blue
with the dye from an offending blue shirt in the same wash!
We here at Action Curry would like to thank Nick & Em for
their wonderful company and excellent contribution.
We hope that this will be the start of a long line of
prestigious and eloquent guest reviewers.
